Outdoor Wednesday

Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer. We're in the back yard again this week, and here's how it looked earlier today.

The miniature calla lilies are blooming! I was so thrilled to see this.

Hubby is making one of the flower beds larger and I'm trying to decide on a spot for them.

The Limelight hydrangea is blooming.

The flowers are huge!

A child's school chair rescued from the trash.

The wind mill is on the back hill next to some rose bushes.

The bike planter got a new look. Purple petunia's in the basket and sedum in the little pots. I hope these plants handle the heat better than the last ones.

Susan, thank you for hosting this fun weekly event. You can visit A Southern Daydreamer to see the other Outdoor Wednesday posts, by clicking HERE.

Diane, I love your garden and all of the whimsical elements. I had a chair in mine, too, but it finally rotted.:-/ I accidentally put it near a sprinkler head. LOL! The plants loved it, but the wood on the chair did not. It fell apart... literally. I love the idea though and might try again. Mine was blue like yours! We blue girls have to stick together!

And I love the bike you have and the little windmill. I have sort of given up except for the basics for now, but should Mr. Magpie decide not to sell our retreat, I'm going ot have fun in that yard again! :-)

XO,

Sheila

Hi there. I was over at Christines deep sea fishing post and saw your name. I thought; another animal lover! My daughter-in-law used to work at an kennel called Four Paws...and my son lives in the SF bay area... I just started a 2nd blog, this one for animals. Such a coincidence. I had to come over to see your blog. Now I see you love plants and gardening too! I'll have to come back and really check out all of your posts. All of your furry "babies" are adorable! And I love the hydrangea. One of my favorite flowers.

Hi Diane,
Everything looks so pretty! The yellow cala lillies are gorgeous. The little blue chair is adorable displayed like that in the garden.

Thanks for your kind visit today! You have always been so supportive of my blog and all my posts and I appreciate it very much.

I believe our home is 2559 square feet. It was listed as 2495 when we picked our floorplan to build but I think we got a little extra somwhere out of it. LOL! More than enough room for just the two of us and our assorted animals. :)

Have a wonderful weekend.

hey girl. I am here to confess my dresser secrets!
I never sanded anything. It had already been painted (and more than likely not sanded in the first) and painted with latex paint.
I have in the past just primed my piece...painted it cream, and then rubbed a stain right over the paint. That is what I did on the dresser..what ever looks like wood grain on there is where there were a few colors of paint showing thru.
She had done several layers of different "washes" on it to achieve the color and look she wanted. It is a very easy process.
Hope that helps!

I'm the kind of hombre who passions to seek innovative stuff. Presently I am fabricating my personal pv panels. I'm managing it all by myself without the aid of my men. I am utilizing the internet as the only way to acheive that. I discovered a truly awesome site that explains how to build solar panels and wind generators. The internet site explains all the steps involved in solar panel construction.

I am not sure bout how precise the data given there is. If some experts over here who have experience with these things can have a see and give your feedback in the page it would be great and I'd extremely treasure it, cauze I really enjoy solar panel construction.

Thanks for reading this. U guys rock.
