The new fridge is in!

Whooo hooo, it's time to have a party! Hubby used a planer and sander to remove that pesky 3/4" from the side of the upper and lower cabinets and the refrigerator is finally in it's new home! The perseverance paid off. Well, perseverance and a comment from our son about Mom's new refrigerator and funny how now Mom will get her new cabinets too. That one spurred him on! ☺

Thanks, Hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving. The side table in my room came from a friends yard sale. She would not take my money, so it was free! Did you look at the post before? It shows the other side table, free too! I got it from a house I was staging and the client had no where to put it, so we put it in my suv...lol

my hip is an old injury from when my youngest was born...she was an almost 10 pound monster at birth, and when she was 6 months old, I crossed my legs and gave her the "horsey ride" that popped my right hip out...and it has never been the same since. In and out often and always sore! I am fine, almost ready to post my big reveal of a huge project that has taken up all of my blogging time! Then...on to the Christmas decorating that I am officially a month behind!

What a great refrigerator story!! It sounds like a few of the adventures my hubby and I have had over the years! :) Infact, we had one adventure after another five years ago when we built our home! It was a miracle the "adventures" didn't cause us to part ways!

Hope you're enjoying the holiday season! I'm frantically decorating!

I am getting a new iPhone and wanted to know what the best case is to protect it. I am clumsy. I tend to drop things and want to make sure I get the best case/protective screen. Thanks!

Oh Diane, I completely sympathize! When I bought my new frig (the old one was 24 years old) it was about an inch too tall. My handyman had to come in a cut an inch off the decorative wood piece that hung down from the cabinet above. It sat in my kitchen about a week before he finally came by to do it. The new ones are sooo much more energy efficient...and I hadn't realized that my ancient one wasn't cooling that great. The milk lasts soooo much longer now. :-) I know you are loving it! Hopefully your scratch is all hidden now that it's in place.
Hugs,
Susan

I had the same thing when my washer/dryer broke at our former house. They were Asko, very small, and American made W/D wouldn't fit. I had to wait forever for a cabinet guy, and until then, I wore a path to Wash World.

Hi there, I somehow stumbled onto your blog from the name alone. Then, saw your frig post. Mine died officially a couple of weeks ago, in a last burst of screaming from the freezer compartment, triggering chaos. And awkwardness, since I rent, but landlord is my brother. I finally got the cheapest one out there in stock at Home Depot. They had very few undamaged models there, maybe one. Seems many of the refrigerators were victims of bad forklift operation. I never thought it was such a large problem.

I don't have a real career in animals, in that I"m not paid, I'm self-appointed and have this delusion of at least controlling the feline population of mid valley Oregon through spay neuter.

Diane, are you filling up that new refrigerator? We had to get a new one recently, and I had thrown away a lot of stuff out of the old one. I kept thinking how nice and big my new one looked (same size as the old one), until I started filling it all back up again! laurie
