My neighbor had the afternoon off from baby sitting her little granddaughter yesterday and we headed for Santa Cruz. You'll never guess what I forgot to bring with me.... Yep, I forgot the camera. So no pictures of ocean waves and surfers, or the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, or adorable cottages with white picket fences and pretty flowers.
I almost did a happy dance when I found the perfect plant at the nursery. It's an angel vine wrapping around a little rusted metal arbor.
Look how sweet the angel vine looks in the teacup planter. She's thrilled with her new plant in her beloved teacup planter. I told her it's an angel vine for an angel... She liked that...
I'm amazed the amaryllis is still blooming and couldn't believe my luck when I was able to take Sammie's picture without the usual squinting her eyes, or running for cover whenever I point the camera at her.
Susan, thank you for hosting this fun weekly event. You can visit A Southern Daydreamer to see the other Outdoor Wednesday posts, by clicking HERE.
Enjoy!

Diane,
Happy Outdoor Wednesday to you and precious Sammie. My daughter has a black Romeo, who got his name because he has a white outline of a heart on his chest. He is spoiled rotten, and to be sooooo little he sure can run and has a huge appetite.

Thanks for your nice comment about my General Motors sorrow. It's difficult for me to accept the "romance" of the era has now completely been shattered and died.
GM will come out of the bankruptcy, but it will never be the same again...sigh.
I so feel your pain, Sophie is not a willing photographic subject either.
That plant is so cute and perfect for your teacup! I see lots of other pretties in the background too.
You're lucky you threw in a cute dog pic at the end, Diane. When I read the line, "I forgot my camera", I was tempted to not read on. What kind of blogger are you dammit!?
Justine :o )
I got my daughter one of those cups for her classroom, the kids loved it. I love your little dog...
That is really pretty, Diane! and Sammie is so cute! Your garden is gorgeous!...Christine
Cute, cute! I love the darling plant...just perfect in the cup!
I think Sammie was posing for you because she wanted to be on the blog. All your babies are sweet and lucky to have you to love.
Happy Twirls
Hi dear Diane! Sorry if I have been away for such a long time! You are all in my thoughts, but unfortunately I am not ready yet to blog as usual!
In any case... those beaches are in Cape Cod, MA.
Glad you liked them- it is a place so dear to my hert!
Hugs,
Monicax.
I've never seen the "angel vine", but now I want to look for one. It is so delicate and lacy - love it! Linda
Hi Diane,
Goodness - the big tea cup is adorable and the angel vine you found to plant in it is just perfect.
Have a lovely week.
