Happy Halloween!

Have a safe and fun Halloween! Don't forget the Toxic Candy Alert and be sure to check the Trick or Treat loot.

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/toxic-candy-alert.html

Chances are you have probably seen the e-mail alert that made the rounds this week–but it is alarming enough that we thought we’d pass it along for any of you who missed it. We got this from MomsRising.org–I did some initial sleuthing for hoax-iness, and it all checks out as legitimate. Scary Halloween stuff!

We want to give you a heads up about some Halloween candy that could be bad for kids: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to consume White Rabbit Creamy Candy or Koala’s March Creme Filled Cookies because they may contain melamine. And, the Canadian government is warning the public not to consume Sherwood Brands Pirate’s Gold Milk Chocolate Coins, which may also have reached the United States.

What’s wrong with these candies? You’ve likely heard about the dangerous chemical, melamine, which was recently found in the Chinese milk supply and sickened thousands of children in China. We’ve now seen reports that melamine tainted milk has been used in some Chinese candy products that have been shipped to the United States.

The good news is that Chinese candy makes up only 0.7 percent of the candy sold in the U.S. and the risk of serious harm from minor exposure to melamine is considered low by the World Health Organization. That said, we wanted to send this out to you because we don’t want our kids eating candy with any toxic ingredients.

Hi Diane,
I got your question about setting up a popout player. On playlist.com you must click "add playlist to myspace". Follow the myspace directions (even though you're not using myspace) and paste the whole java script into the HTML/JavaScript gadget. That should do it! Thanks so much for visiting my new blog. It feels great to have encouragement! I hope you can get the music playing. My husband helped me with setting up everything. I'm not very computer savvy. Let me know if you have more questions. Warmly, Melissa

Diane, thanks for coming by..I see your a Ca gal also..I used to live in Fremont before moving to the Sierra..
Now you asked about the tea cup lamps..No I have no holes drilled in them..the light's are like a candle stick and I just cut the foam to side for the cup make a hole to sit the light into and hot glue the whole thing in the cup and glue the cup to the saucer and yes the moss covers up all the foam...I then add your ever flowers, ivy etc. on the moss. Now these candle stick light are not the ones that have a brass base that you seen at Christmas that you sit in a window...they have a rubber tip base to fit into a candle stick holder...the brass ones can't be used as the cord goes to far into the foam for you to hot glue it..Hope this help you...they are really cute and make great gifts..I have made over 200 of them..I used to sell them at a shop in Amandor City..
Diane I eve made one for a lady in her wedding shoe..
Let me know if this helps you any..and anything I can help you with I will..Good luck and thanks again for coming by..and Yes my DH also leave all of his tools out thats why I said he was just putting up a light..and girl I bought those lights in Feb HELLO!! and he just doing them..also got a Chandy in the garage still waiting for 3 years now..hugs and smiles Gloria
