Pink Saturday!

Welcome to Pink Saturday!

A beautifully painted pink rose on a silver spoon by Laurie's Charming Designs and another one of Mom's beautiful plates are my contributions to Pink Saturday this week. Pink Saturday is hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

I so admire Laurie's beautiful artwork painted on silver spoons. How fortunate for me that she sells her art on eBay! Isn't this just the sweetest little rose painted on a spoon. If you'd like more information about Laurie's Charming Designs, please pay her a visit. Just click on her name to take you to her blog.

Mom's oldest sister brought this beautiful plate to her. When Mom could no longer live alone and moved into assisted living, I arranged a collection of her treasured plates on the wall, with this one as the center focal point. It was beautiful and often commented on. The label on the back of the plate says NSP China, Made in Japan. 22 carat gold.

Please visit Beverly's blog for the list of Pink Saturday participants.

Enjoy!

Diane

I took a chance and clicked the picture hoping I could see the detailing of both pieces...fortunately it did enlarge. I think it's an extra treat when you get a plate that's beautiful and offers several colors to build tablescapes around. That rose painted spoon is sooo delicate. I'm trying to convince my hubby to start painting his lovely roses again. He's blessed to have the talent. It truly needs to be shared.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
