Pink Saturday!

Welcome to Pink Saturday, hosted by Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound.

The weather was wet and drizzling a few days ago so I went shopping for pink!

A pair of pink Johnson Bros plates with a big pink rose, little blue flowers and green leaves. I think they'll add a bit of whimsy to my St Patrick's Day tablescape!

Ah, so sweet!

Cups and saucers in my favorite Spode Botanical pattern.

A couple of new mugs, also in my favorite Spode botanical pattern!

I finally broke down and bought New PINK kitchen scissors! This may look a bit peculiar, but my hubby is a kleptomaniac for scissors and measuring tapes! I think the pink will stand out when I'm frantically searching tables and drawers because he took off with the scissors again. He always denies having them, then has an "oh yeah" moment as I wave them around and complain. The old black handles just disappear on whatever they're lying on.

Now, please click on Beverly here to visit the other Pink Saturday participants.

Enjoy!

Diane

I AGREE WITH BUYING THE PINK SCISSORS FOR THE HUBBY THAT PICKS UP SCISSORS AS HE STROLLS ABOUT....THAT IS MY HUSBAND....I HAVE TO HIDE HIS TOOLS SO HE WILL ASK ME FOR THEM BECAUSE HE NEVER KNOWS WHERE HE LEFT THEM.

We could never find a pair of scissors . . . until our DD left home for college -- then the 30 pairs all showed up! We've not had a problem since!

Love the Spode pink!

You husband may not want to stroll around with pink scissors so this may have been a smart move! LOL

First, yes, I have to put it away...sometimes, and it goes into it's little pinkie house!

Second, those plates! Those should be mine! I could eat little cookies made by elfs when I'm using my pinkie laptop and pinkie mousie!

Ha' great idea with the scissors. Though I shamelessly admit to using Phil's scissors and not returning them to their home. He even wrote his name on them. pfffffft!! what nerve.

Your plates are stunning. I love them.

Your previous post was just the cutest. The dog photos made me smile and the quotes are so true.
The one about alpo just cracked me up.

Happy PS

Diane, you made AWSOME suggestions on my mantel! As I said, it's a work in progress...as I have real "brain freeze" when it comes to that mantel! Love the idea of framing out the crosses and elevating the second candle! THANK YOU so much for stoppin' by and your input! :-) L~

i absolutely love the spod botanical pattern, can you get it anywhere? I'm based in England and am currently researching for my kitchen redesign. I've just signed the contract for a hand made kitchen so am on the look out for something to inspire me. i would really like to create a room that makes me feel the way i feel looking at some of your pictures all calm but cheerful and happy. I have a young family at the moment and we're extending the house to make room for our third child and lucky me i get a new kitchen too. I'm having to live elsewhere though as the building work is at an open house stage and my 9 month old can do without the draft. it'll all be worth it though in the end.
